Greetings in Jesus’ name! We are Jonathan and Kristy Thompson, thank you for visiting our page! We and our son Asher thank you so much for prayerfully considering donating to fund our embryo adoption through Nightlight. We have considered all forms of adoption and started down each path only to turn back and start over again. Our current plan and greatest desire is to have a successful embryo adoption and adopt through Foster Care after that. From there, our heart for adoption will continue for the rest of our lives through financial donations, supporting other adoptive families, and raising up our children to know the Lord.
James 1:27 instructs us: Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and keep oneself unstained from the world. This verse has become a reminder and a calling that we meditate on and constantly reveals God’s love for us. This is a reminder that orphans and widows are made in God’s image and are worthy of dignity and respect. Though from the outside they may seem abandoned, lost, and unreachable they are cherished, known, and used by God. The world tells us adoption is weird or that it is a last option, but we don’t agree with any of that.
All Christians are a part of this calling. There is no special gifting required, only the ability to love who God loves through our services and finances. Our heart is for the adoption ministry and we feel especially called to serve through embryo adoption. Please pray for us on this journey, that we continue to wait for God and trust in Him, and pray for our little one who is waiting to come home!
