The Shirkey Family has been blessed by the adoption process across multiple generations so they are honoring Dorothy and Louise for the love they demonstrated in 1955 when Dorothy chose to give her baby up for adoption and Louise chose to adopt the baby. The baby was Sue.
Sue Shirkey (mom/grandma) was adopted in 1955 and Sue’s daughter, Marilyn, and son-in-law Kent, have brought 5 children into their home through adoption.
