Name: Kaluzniak Family Fund

Family and Friends,

Lauren and I are coming to with big news again! We’re adopting…AGAIN!

Over the last two years we have been blessed by the gift of adoption in bringing Micah into our family. So many of you witnessed the miracle that God brought to our family extremely quickly back in December 2021. The Lord has put it in our hearts again to adopt.

We have been wondering when would be the right time and praying through what God would want for our family. As we began to process this we also began to experience fear. Would God provide again? Would the birth mom change her mind last minute? In all pregnancies, as that baby is growing, so much is out of your control. As that baby grows, so does your trust in God to form and knit your baby together. In adoption this is the same, but as an added element, you also have no control over prenatal care or if she receives any. With all that out of our control we began to battle with our desire to adopt again and brought that to the Lord.

The Lord graciously lead us gently and kindly. He began to teach us, again, as He does daily. One question the Lord put on our hearts during this time was, do you believe I am kind? It is one thing to believe God is good. Broccoli is good for my boys but they do not like it. Often times we see God doing something “good” in our life, but it does not feel good at the time. But for God to be kind…well that is altogether different. God being kind means His heart delights in doing good to us, that He loves to provide for us, that He gets joy out of being our father. We began praying the prayer: “Lord I believe you are kind. Would you provide again? Would you bless us, again, with another miracle? Would you help us believe that you are indeed, so kind to us?“ As we have prayed, God has reminded us of just how amazingly kind He truly is.

On January 24th, we met for our final home study and began preparing the necessary forms with our adoption agency. We were told that this next adoption could move fairly quickly as there are only a limited number of “tribal families” that are available for children born in the Native American hospitals (Yes, Colby is indeed a registered Indian…ha!) There is a need for “tribal” families like ours in the adoption world and we see this as God’s grace to us and our family as we pursue what the Lord has put on our hearts.

Our hearts desire is to grow our family and to be a part of God’s plan to make sure that every child has a home. Not everyone is called to personally adopt but there are so many other ways to care for children who do not have a family to belong to. We are asking you, as a vital part of our “village”, to partner with us in our adoption. We can’t do it alone and do not want to. We are excited to get to share with this next child one day about all the people that made it possible for us to bring them into our family!

You may be asking- “What can I do?”

Here are a few simple things you can help us with:

1. Pray- pray for us (Lauren, Colby, and Graham) as we prepare ourselves for the next chapter of our family. On the back of our photo there is three specific areas we would love if you would partner with us in prayer!

2. Be involved- We do not want to do this alone. It truly takes a “village” of friends and family both near and far to form the life of child. We are looking to each of you to help walk alongside of us as we raise this child and point them to Christ. We need you and are so glad that YOU are a part of our future child’s story.

3. Give- As most of you know, the cost of adoption is expensive. However, we believe that God is our provider and that he will use his people to make this possible. Any amount you can give to this adoption represents your sacrifice and your heart in adoption, no matter the size of the gift. It is through your generosity and being a vessel of God’s provision that this adoption will be made possible.

Family and friends, we truly treasure your relationship and are so thankful for how God is going to use you in our child’s life. We are so excited that you are a part of our journey in adoption!

Love,
The Kaluzniaks
