We are David and Patricia Gurinsky. Since early in our marriage, we experienced infertility and were not able to have our own biological children. Through prayer and consideration, God made it very clear that we were to adopt to grow our family. Our greatest blessing, Cohen, was brought home at 2 days old in 2019. We have always wanted a sibling for him and prayed for 4 years in the adoption process again. God was once again faithful to us and we received a call and brought home our newest blessing, Everett, from the hospital on September 29 of this year. We fell in love with him from the moment we saw him and knew that he is our son from the start. He has been welcomed so easily into our family and is the answer to years of prayer for us all.
God has always been faithful to us and given us hope in our adoption journey. We lean heavily on scripture to guide us in wisdom and to bring us reminders of his faithfulness. We have been blessed by the following scriptures:
- Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.
- Isaiah 25:1 O Lord, you are my God, I will exalt you; I will praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure.
- Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
- Psalm 127:3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.
We have seen God’s abundant faithfulness and answer to our prayers in the blessing of our son, Everett. We believe in the power of prayer and ask that you join us to come before God to pray specifically for Everett and our now family of four. Would you also pray for God’s continued provision and consider making a generous contribution to alleviate the financial burden that we face of covering the adoption costs.
