Terry and I met when we were both hired at the same hospital and were both attending the same college. After dating for eight months, Terry proposed. Fast forward thirteen months later and we were married by the pond at my parent’s house which happens to be the same place he asked me to marry him. We just celebrated nine years being married.
After three years of marriage we had our son, Eli. Two years later we had our daughter, Meila. At two months old, Meila was unexpectedly diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder. After her diagnosis and months of prayer and counsel we decided what was best for our family was to not have any more biological children. Because we both felt called to adopt at a young age we knew this decision didn’t mean we wouldn’t have more children we would just have more through ADOPTION. God had been preparing our hearts for years.
We have an active home study but are currently fundraising before going active so that we can be in a healthy place financially when the baby comes and we can continue to provide all that our son and daughter need.
