Brad and I have been married for 7.5 years. We first met through a young adults group at our church. After cultivating a friendship for a couple of years we started dating and were married about a year later. Shortly after, we had our first child, Aubrey who is now 5 years old. We have added two more children since then, Bennett who is 4 and Adele who is 2. While we deeply love our little family, we do not feel it is complete yet.
From the beginning of our relationship, we have had many discussions and felt a pull toward adoption. While we weren’t sure for the longest time how that might look or when that might play out, we both always have had it in our minds that adoption was something we wanted to be a part of our story. We both love and cherish the fact that we were adopted by our Heavenly Father as He sought us out to be His children. Our heart is to live that out now and adopt a child of our own. After countless conversations and much prayer, we felt that the Lord was calling us to continue our family through adoption. We are currently working with an agency toward a domestic infant adoption and hope to bring home our little bundle of joy in the not-too-distant future.
We feel blessed to be able to work with the Abba Fund to support ours and others’ adoption journeys. We are especially thankful to all of you who support us every day.
