Name: Braden Family AdoptionGender: female

Hi friends,
We are the Braden’s! We have two biological kids; Graham, age 5, and Ellie, age 3. Blaine works as a lead pastor at our church in Bend, OR and I am a stay at home mom.

We are currently working through Choice Adoptions, formerly known as Christian Family Adoptions in Oregon. Our specific adoption would be for a domestic infant adoption.

For us, it has been Christ’s transforming work in our lives and the love that He has pursued each of us with that has spurred us on towards the heart of adoption. We were once helpless, separated and orphaned but He has graciously adopted us into his family and we get the honor and privilege of calling Him “Abba, Father” and walking in relationship with him daily! We have been so honored to sit back in the life of ministry in the church and watch how He loves and pursues His people. It’s His love in our lives that has compelled us towards adoption, as adoption is found in the heart of our Father.

One of our greatest heartbeats in our adoption is also in the fight for life. Our heart is to step into dark places in our culture and offer hope not only physically for a birth mom but also offer a living hope that we have been given through the work of Christ! As parents of two kids, our hearts break over women who find themselves in unplanned pregnancies with pressures to take the life of their baby. Our heart is to meet this very need; to fight for life and give the unborn baby a home while giving birth mom a physical and living hope. We desperately want to be the light of Jesus as our hearts beat strongly for both biological mom and baby, praying that both would come to know Jesus as their personal Savior. We may not be able to step into every dark place but we can certainly do something, and for us, we feel God has broken our hearts for adoption, for His glory.

Thank you for taking time to read through our profile. Adoption can be so expensive, we realize that. We still have a ways to go, but we are so thankful for our communities coming along side of us- and thank you to so many of you in the way you have already supported us! Thank you too for praying and continuing to pray; for us, for baby, and especially for birth mom as she makes one of the most sacrificial decisions of her life to place her sweet baby.

With love,
Blaine, Justine, Graham, and Ellie Braden

**AN IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION FROM ABBA FUND ABOUT YOUR DONATION**
Using the online form on this page automatically submits a request to preference your gift to the family profiled on this page as part of ABBA Fund’s Christian Family Adoption Grant Fund. ABBA Fund administers this fund and maintains full control and administration of all donated funds. We also strive to honor our donor’s preference requests in accordance with IRS and Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) guidelines.

The IRS allows donors to state a preference of how their contribution is used and request that the gift support a particular family — and it allows the charitable organization (ABBA Fund) to fully consider that request as long as the donor understands and acknowledges for charitably given tax-deductible gifts that the ultimate authority regarding the disposition of your gift is at the discretion of the charitable organization. By using this online form, or other method described above, you are acknowledging an understanding of those IRS guidelines.
