Adopting has long been a desire of both of ours. And the more we learn about God’s heart, the greater our desire has grown. In Romans 8, God even tells us as His followers, that through Christ, He has adopted US into HIS family, calling us His sons and His daughters. This is so precious to us! We have prayed and sought counsel and have reached the conclusion that the time is now! We are honored and excited (the kids included!) to get the opportunity to be an extension of the love that God has shown us through adoption.
We are adopting a newborn baby domestically. We can’t wait to meet our precious one, who God has chosen for us from before the beginning of time!
In order for adoption to be a reality we get to invite our friends and family to join us! First we need your prayers! Please pray for discernment and peace over us. Pray for the birth momma- for her peace and comfort as she makes the bravest, most selfless decision. And pray for our family and baby- that the bond between us would be deep and immediate.
Secondly, we need a team to come around us and help with the great financial burden that comes with adoption. The cost is high but the story of getting to bring a child into our family through adoption is priceless!
