We met 12 years ago. As we began discussing our family, including our future children, we began the discussion of adoption. As we experienced the loss of biological children, we were blessed with a healthy baby girl, Charlotte. Years later, we began to pray to expand our family. We felt God leading us in the direction of adoption. As He adopted us into His kingdom, we should adopt others. He continued to lead us to the path of adoption by meeting people that have adopted, are adopted, or placed their child in adoption. Through knowing these people and seeing the wonderful things God has done in their lives, we continued on our path. We became actively involved in our adoption ministry through our church.
As we begin this journey, we hope to show God’s grace and goodness in each step. We ask that you pray for our entire family. For patience as we wait for the best fit for our family, birthmother and adoptive child. Please pray that this will be a smooth transition for Charlotte. Most of all we pray that His name is glorified.
Our motto for this journey is, “We are the village.” It takes a village to raise an image bearer of Christ in today’s world. We ask that you pray for our child’s birth family, our family, our church family, and our village.
