The Lord has called us to adoption and we cannot wait to start our family. We have known that this would be our path for a while now. Taylor being a teacher, has a heart for children and knows how important a strong family unit is. Brett has been supportive since day one and knows that God is leading them in the right direction. We have family members who have adopted and have seen the amazing blessing that this brings. This has been on our hearts and we are so excited and ready for the path God has chosen for us. Ephesians 1:4 says “In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ.” This is a wonderful reminder for us that just as we are adopted into the Kingdom of God, now it is our turn to adopt a precious life into our family.
We have prayed continuously and sought guidance from our church before making this decision and we know this is God’s perfect plan! We cannot wait to share God’s love through our adoption. We are hoping to adopt a child (newborn baby- two years old) domestically. We are so ready to meet this special little one who God has picked just for us! We will officially be able to start our home study and be placed as a family ready for placement in July!
For us to see our adoption journey to fruition we get to have our family and friends join us! Prayers are always welcome and such a comfort during this time! Please pray for patience and guidance over us. Pray for the birth mother of our sweet baby- for her peace, health and comfort during this massive, selfless decision. Please pray that our bond with our baby would be instant and deep.
Next, we need a “care team” around us to help with the heavy financial responsibility that comes with adopting. The cost of starting our sweet family is high, but the journey to having our precious baby is priceless! Thank you to ABBA fund for all you do in helping make our adoption dreams come true!
