We feel called to adoption because frankly it is most likely the only way that we will ever be able to grow our family. God has allowed us to experience multiple miscarriages, 10 to be exact, including 2 failed IVF procedures. Our last confirmed pregnancy was in March of last year and we got to experience the miracle of seeing our baby’s heartbeat for the first time. We are still grieving that loss. Adoption has been near and dear to our hearts for a long time.
Chuck’s first wife was adopted. Kris was diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease 2 months before they were to be married and tried to break their engagement, nevertheless Chuck felt that God wanted him to marry Kris. They were married for 6 ½ years before God took her home to heaven. Julie has had a heart for adoption since the beginning of their marriage. She grew up in South America as a missionary kid and loves Latin culture but, as a couple we are open to adopting any ethnicity, either gender. We are currently active with? adoption agencies and we are expectantly waiting to be matched with a birth mom. One of Julie’s favorite verses is Psalm 68:5, “A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.” Just like Kris is a beautiful part of our story would you consider being a part of our story and what God is doing in our lives?
We are adopting a newborn baby domestically. We are active with several different agencies in several different states. We look forward to being matched with a birth mother and cannot wait to see the baby God has for us. As we continue our adoption journey we invite you, our friends, and family to join us in our journey in two ways. First, we need your prayer support. Please pray for discernment and wisdom as we go through the matching process. Please pray for our birth mother as she goes through her own journey. Please pray that we would be matched soon. Pray for the adoption workers as they not only help us but help the birth mother’s they meet. Second, we need your financial help and support. The cost for adoption is high but the opportunity and need for adoption is great!
